Government of Odisha is very keen to focus on Sustainability and, hence, a special section will be showcasing various exclusive products, services related to the same. Odisha State Action Plan on Climate Change (SAPCC) was first published in 2010 for the period 2010-15. The progress of activities under 11 identified sectors of the Climate Change Action Plan 2010-15 have been evaluated and second iteration of Climate Change Action Plan 2018-23 has been prepared and published. The SAPCC 2018-23 includes about 58 specific actions that will enable the state to design investments that will enable adaptation to change in climate. The action plan also recommends Odisha to implement 37 GHG reduction strategies to begin reducing global warming.

As a part of the state’s funding strategy, various climate financing options are identified in order to possibly fill the financial gaps in addition to the budgetary sources of the State or Central Sector Schemes. Some of the focus sectors are Energy, Urban Development, Transport, Industries, Mining.

The Sustainability Exhibition segment at Enterprise Odisha 2023 is an exceptional platform that will showcase innovative ideas and solutions for sustainable products, process, and infrastructure. It will bring together industry experts, policymakers, and technology providers to exchange knowledge and ideas on creating energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and socially responsible ecosystem.

Infrastructure & Logistics

The logistics sector plays a vital role in developing the infrastructure of a region. This includes the construction of roads, highways, ports, airports, and railway networks. Investment in logistics infrastructure will make the state more accessible and attractive to businesses. The state currently has only one major port at Paradip and two non-major ports at Dhamra and Gopalpur. Two other non-major ports at Subarnarekha and Astaranga are presently being developed. A total of 14 sites have been identified by the Government for developing non–major ports. As per the Logistics Ease Across Different States (LEADS) index, Odisha ranks at 7th place in 2021. The State has also been ranked in the ‘Achievers’ category in the LEADS Index 2022.

The Infrastructure & Logistics segment of the exhibition will be an ideal platform for companies involved in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Shipping & Port, Material Handling, Warehousing & Storage Equipment, Consultancy and IT related business to showcase on their products & service, latest trends and Technologies to the industry and to strengthen their brand awareness to the stakeholders. The exhibition would attract the end users from the Automotive, Manufacturing, Retail, FMCG and other sectors. The exhibition is a unique opportunity to understand Odisha's logistics policy and regulatory environment, and the vast existing and emerging business opportunities across sectors. The exhibition promises to take engagement to the next level with a wide range of interactions and engagements.

The role of new and renewable energy has been assuming increasing significance in recent times with the growing concern for the country’s energy security. Energy self-sufficiency has been identified as the major driver for new and renewable energy in the country and is also one of the thrust sectors for the Indian government as well as the Odisha state government.

The Renewable Energy Exhibition pavilion at Enterprise Odisha 2023 will focus on the entire Renewable Energy value chain - new and renewable energy technologies, processes, materials, components, sub-systems, products & services at par with international specifications, standards, and performance parameters. Organisations across the world have taken cognizance of the importance of all employees returning from their workplaces safe, sound and healthy. In order to do so, there is an increasing focus on developing and sustaining Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards for which new approaches, new products and solutions are being innovated. There are measures to make OHS and OHS solutions proactive, diverse, futuristic, and innovative for the advancement of the OHS.

If you are a manufacturer or service provider that operates in Occupational Health & Safety products / services such as gears, clothing, solutions, technology, etc. then the 24th Enterprise Odisha is the right platform to showcase your niche and capability.
